1. What would your life be like if you lived two hundred years ago, like the lighthouse keeper’s daughter in the story?  What do you have now that she wouldn’t have had back then?  
2.  Imagine what your life would be like two hundred years in the future.  What are some wild inventions that you’d like to have be real?
3.  Draw a picture and a map of your perfect island.  Be sure to include your house and your school!
