1. Do you agree with Meredith that what Delia does is unforgiveable? Does it make it more forgivable that Delia changes course part way?
2. Does Kat have a good point about Delia and Bob moving into a more age-appropriate living situation? Delia doesn’t want to abandon the farm. Is she right, or unrealistic and stubborn?
3. There are many animals in Daughters: dogs, donkeys, chickens, and a horse. What role do they play in the story?
4. Meredith notices that Delia is able to connect with her teenage pupil, Lindsey. Why wasn’t she able to connect this way with Meredith?
5. Evan seems like the only adult in the novel who is perfectly content. Is it because he’s the only one who isn’t in a long-term relationship? Does he need to ”grow up” ?
